AYFN Introduction

The ASEAN Youth Friendship Network, more commonly known as AYFN, is a South Asian-based youth community looking to build a friendship network within the region. Established on January 19, 2010, headquartered in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, the facility plans to create a number of projects to help increase the value of education by creating youth placement programs in many countries. All this is done in an effort to encourage culture, youth, education and knowledge exchange, which can inspire younger generations to develop awareness of the above and have a positive impact on the world.

AYFN Winter Korea Cultural Camp 2020 is a program designed and provided for young learners who want to immerse themselves in Korean history, culture and society. Through intensive activities involving language classes and Korean cultural sessions, the main goal of the program is to promote and establish an understanding of Korea in areas around the world. Luckily, no matter which country you come from, you can join all of these programs. You can also continue to participate in this program even if your native language is not English!

The program is also beginning a scholarship scheme for a small number of selected beneficiaries. Students who successfully complete the program's scholarship program will be offered a number of paid facilities at no cost. However, there are 5 slots available, so we recommend applying it quickly. But preparation is definitely worth it. Once selected, you will be able to interact not only with Koreans, but also with participants from other countries. Your view of Korean culture will also be widened. After completing the program, you will have a better understanding of Korea.

AYFN Winter Korea Culture Camp 2020 is full of educational but fun activities centered on Korean culture. You will have six days to live in the heart of Seoul. During your stay, you will participate in basic Korean classes, heritage walking tours throughout Seoul, and other activities involving local people in Korean traditions. The goal of candidates participating in these activities is to allow them to immerse themselves directly into Korean culture through experimental learning.

With regard to Korean language classes, the program offers beginners with a simple course. Whether you are a basic learner or an advanced professional, everyone is given the same opportunity to learn the basics of Korean. Syllabus includes Korean basics (for example, self introduction, greetings, listening and basic conversation). Lectures are not only officially taught in a classroom setting, but participants also experience interactive learning. You can fully realize what the locals have learned through everyday conversations in Korean.

There is also learning about Korean culture. Participated in various activities such as wearing Korean traditional clothes (hanbok), eating kimchi and Korean dumplings. In addition to the interactive activities, program participants can experience the culture and deeply learn about the rich history through the Seoul Tour. They will be changed to visit iconic places like Geyongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Village.

Program value

AYFN Winter Korea Culture Camp 2020 offers a scholarship scheme for applicants to receive certain benefits. These generous benefits are paid in full by the program itself, so the recipient does not have to worry about these costs. But as mentioned above, the scholarship scheme can accept five candidates, but don't worry. Find out what the scholarship program offers and you'll be motivated to join in a way you like. Program values ​​are as follows:

  1. Full paid round-trip ticket from the capital of your country to Seoul. The flight ticket is in Economy Class and up to $ 600 USD.
  2. 6 nights 5 days stay in Seoul.
  3. Meals (for breakfast and lunch).
  4. On January 6, 2020, a free airport pick-up service is provided.

  6. All scheduled activities in the program (e.g. Korean & Culture, Cultural Tours, Nami Island Adventure Tours)

  11. Full payment of domestic administrative expenses

eligibility

The AYFN Winter Korea Culture Camp 2020's scholarship system will accept candidates with quality characteristics that favor the program.
