Punjab Health Minister Yasmin Rashid told a journalist that Nawaz Sharif's condition was "stable" and that the government was giving him the best treatment. She said she personally had no problem if Mr. Sharif wanted to go abroad for treatment, but he had not expressed his wish in that regard. Dr. Rashid also met with Mr. Sharif and conveyed the concerns of Prime Minister Khan and Prime Minister Usman Buzdar about his health.

The leaders of PML-Q, Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and the president of the Punjab Assembly, Pervaiz Elahi, telephoned Shahbaz Sharif and asked him about the health of Nawaz Sharif.

In a tweet, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Information, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, said the prime minister had ordered the authorities to provide the best medical facilities to Nawaz Sharif. "The prime minister prayed for his recovery and expressed his best wishes for him."

The imprisoned PML-N vice president, Maryam Nawaz, met with Nawaz Sharif at the Services Hospital after the Punjab government accepted her request in this regard.
