The vice president of PML-N made the request during the judicial proceedings in the Chaudhry Sugar Mills case.

During the process, the court asked the NAB investigating officer when a reference would be presented in the case, to which he replied that the reference had entered the final stages of preparation and would be presented after the approval of the president of the NAB

Meanwhile, the accountability court judge Chaudhry Ameer Mohammad Khan extended the judicial detention of Maryam and her cousin, Yousaf Abbas, until October 25.

On Tuesday, doctors from Lahore Services Hospital described Nawaz's condition as "serious" despite the transfusion of three mega platelet units a few hours after admission.

According to medical tests performed yesterday, the former prime minister's platelet count "dropped from 16,000 to a critical level of 2,000" when he was taken to the hospital on Monday night, which led to medical board members to seek an "immediate transfusion of platelets to save his life," said one of the board members.

NAB had transferred the Nawaz to the Services Hospital on Monday night after their personal physician, Dr. Adnan Khan, had warned of his critical condition in the custody of the guard dog of responsibility.
