LUH (Lahore University of Management Sciences) is a private, independent research university located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. LUMS was ranked as the most popular university in Pakistan by QS University Rankings, founded in 1984, QS is one of the top 300 universities in the world of business and ranked as one of the 400 top universities worldwide by mathematics. LUMS is one of the most expensive, selective and progressive universities in Pakistan following the liberal arts curriculum.
Despite the high tuition requirements of LUMS, excellent students can study at LUMS for a minimal fee. Lahore University of Management Sciences in Pakistan offers a variety of funding opportunities for qualified students to study or study at university.
LUMS scholarships vary for each level of study. LUMS offers undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate scholarships annually. See below for more information on each scholarship.
Undergraduate course
Financial Assistance for Pakistani Students
- Need-based tuition waiver and loan
Within the limited resources, LUMS provides financial assistance to students who need it. Faculty-level abnormalities are provided in the form of tuition waiver and LUMS interest-free loans.
Undergraduate needs-based financial support guarantees a full visit to the program. The amount of financial aid for last year is between 20% and 100%. The ideal is reevaluated every grade level based on the student's performance and proven financial needs.
Financial aid fee waivers do not have to be repaid, but LUMS Interest Free Loan must be repaid within six months after graduation.
- National Outreach Program
LUMS launched the National Education Program (NOP) in 2001, becoming a true national university by providing world-class educational benefits to competent students across Pakistan. This distinguished scholarship program focuses on identifying bright students with outstanding mathematics and FA / FSc results and introducing them to the LUMS undergraduate program. Full financial support is provided to scholars who are eligible for NOP.
Eligible students are those who scored at least 80% in Matric or an equivalent score at level 0 and who require financial assistance.
- Undergraduate Merit Scholarship
LUMS offers students generous scholarships to recognize high academic achievement and distinguish high achievers. LUMS Merit Scholarships are awarded based on students' outstanding academic achievement.
Achievement scholarships are available in two types: one year scholarships and the following year.

- Grade 1: A total of 100 scholarships are offered each year to prospective undergraduate students at LUMS. First year Achievement Scholarships include full and partial tuition for one year and are awarded to top-level students admitted to each school at LUMS.
This scholarship does not require additional support. Students automatically receive an award when they apply for admission to LUMS.

- The following year: This merit scholarship covers part-time and full-year tuition for one year and is awarded to returning students enrolled on the Dean's Honor List based on academic achievement.
LUMS Merit scholarships are available only to LUMS 'students at the following schools:

For each placement in each school, the top three students are awarded the following scholarships:

Financial Assistance for International Students
LUMS offers Shahid Hussain Foundation Scholarship to international students. Scholarships are offered to excellent undergraduates. Scholarships include tuition waivers, LUMS interest-free loans, National Outreach Program scholarships, scholarships, and external scholarships as needed.
To receive a scholarship, you must meet the following requirements:
- Meet the minimum academic standards for admission
- Citizens of SAARC Member States (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Sri Lanka, India)
- You are not from Pakistan and you do not have Pakistan Passport / NICOP / CNIC. If you are a Pakistani dual national applicant, you cannot apply through the LUMS International Student Program.

- MS loan options
LUMS interest-free loans cover part and all of your tuition fees and are interest free. The award is reassessed every school year based on the recipient's performance and proven financial needs. This interest-free loan repayment starts from six months to three to five years after graduation.
- MS Achievement Scholarship
LUMS offers scholarships to students who are proven to be academically successful. This scholarship does not require a separate application. Students automatically receive a scholarship when they apply for admission to LUMS.
The LUMS Masters Scholarships are divided into two categories.

- First Year Scholarship: This scholarship covers the full partial tuition fee for one year and is accepted according to the first year LUMS Admissions Rankings.
- Subsequent Scholarships: These scholarships support the full amount of tuition for one year and are awarded to current students who are placed on Dean's honor list based on academic achievement.
Scholarships are only available for study at the next school at LUMS.

- FBS Award
The Four Basic Sciences (FBS) award is a 35% flat-rate grant provided by LUMS to all MS students enrolled in LUMS 'Four Basic Sciences program (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics). This bonus is offered in the form of waiver and does not need to be repaid.
This award does not require a separate application. Students will automatically receive this award when they enter the MS Four Basic Sciences program at LUMS.
MBA / EMBA Program
- International Scholarship
LUMS offers the Asian Development Bank-Japan Scholarship Program (ADB-JSP) for the MBA program at Suleman Dawood School of Business. About 150 scholarships are offered each year through the ADB-JSP. This scholarship allows you to study in economics, management, science and technology, and other development related fields.
The scholarship provides full tuition, monthly fees, housing, books and educational materials, medical insurance and travel expenses. Scholars engaged in research may be given special subsidies for the preparation of a thesis. In special circumstances, scholarship may include computer literacy, preparation language, and other similar courses.

- GMAT / GRE Refund: 100% refund of GRE / GMAT fee to all applicants.
- Tuition Waiver:
- 50% tuition waiver for admission students with a GMAT score of 700 or higher (or equivalent GRE)
- 50% tuition waiver for competent and competent students based on university study assessment.
- 2nd Grade: This scholarship supports only one year's partial tuition and is awarded to Dean's top three names on Dean's Honor List, based on academic achievement, based on academic achievement.

- MCB Student Personal Loans: The loans sponsored by MCB Bank for Pakistani students are up to 1 million PKR and must be repaid within 6 months up to 5 years after student graduation.

- Women scholarship
This scholarship is intended to foster, celebrate and develop women's leadership in business. This scholarship will support girls in higher education and will increase the number of women participating in the Business School's MBA / EMBA program. All female applicants who have entered the MBA / EMBA program at LUMS are eligible for a 50% waiver of tuition fees.
MPhil Program

Scholarships for the MPhil program are awarded in the first year and the following year. In the first year, scholarships are paid for full and partial tuition for one year and are awarded to the top placement students who have entered the school according to the LUMS Admissions Ranking.
In the following year, scholarships will cover partial and full tuition fees for placement based on academic achievement.
- Tuition fee waiver
Tuition waivers are provided for the needy and qualified students studying the MPhil program at LUMS. Unlike loans, tuition waivers do not need to be repaid.
- GMAT / GRE registration fee refund
Applicants who have entered and participated in the MPhil Education Leadership and Management Program will be refunded one GRE / GMAT registration fee.
PhD
LUMS provides funding for scholarships and research grants for PhD students. LUMS's PhD program provides a full tuition waiver for all eligible students for four years. Other types of financial support include monthly support packages.
Assistant assistants and salaries to support faculty in research projects are some of the other opportunities for PhD students to receive additional financial support. Must be approved by faculty
External scholarship
There are many prominent scholarships for undergraduates. LUMS supporters include individuals and organizations from around the world. This scholarship will help students cover their education and related expenses (e.g. books, accommodation and living expenses).
The Punjab Government's initiative, the Punjab Education Fund (PEEF), provides financial support to LUMS students. PEEF offers scholarship / financial support to talented and needy students.
