Civil liberty group CAIR said two out of five Muslim students face more than twice the harassment of the national average.
According to an anti-Islamic phobia watchdog, two out of five Muslim students in California suffer from harassment, more than double the national average.
The findings, published by the Council of American Islamic Relations (CAIR) citizenship group, are based on a survey of 1,500 Muslim students aged 11 to 18, the press release said.
CAIR said 42% of Muslim students in California faced “some form” of harassment.
“Surveys show that Muslim students are safer, welcoming and respected in school than other students,” said CAIR. “40.4% of respondents have experienced bullying more than twice the national average.
A similar study conducted in 2017 found that more than half of Muslim students in California experienced some kind of harassment.
The full report – “Singled Out: The Impact of Islamic Phobia in Classrooms and Discrimination Against Muslim Students” – will be released next Wednesday.
As of 2014, a survey shows that Muslims make up only about 1% of California's population, but nearly 3.5 million Muslims live in the United States.
CAIR's new findings are plagued with Islamic phobia across the country, and have gained a lot of buoyancy from the right-most growth, according to critics who have been fueled by Donald Trump's frequent commitment to Muslims.

Muslim-oriented policy
During the presidential election, Trump vowed to stop Muslims from entering the United States and came up with the idea of creating a database to track Muslims.
Since taking office in January 2017, Trump has banned travelers from several Muslim countries and has tried to reduce the number of refugees, and the majority have attempted to settle in Islam, reducing the number of refugees coming from Muslim countries.
Earlier this year, the San Diego Unified School District settled a lawsuit with five families who were protesting the district's “anti-Islamic phobia initiative” aimed at reducing bullying for Muslim students.
The lawsuits claimed that this initiative was specially treated by Muslim students, but Muslims and other ethnic minorities often suffered harassment and increased disproportionately.
Hate crime and discrimination
The Center for Hate and Extremism Research, located in California, recently released a report showing a 9 percent increase in hate crimes in 30 US metropolitan cities across the United States.
The statistics show that the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) saw a 17% increase in hate crimes in 2017.
Last month, CAIR announced a briefing documenting 10,015 anti-Muslim biases since 2014.
The CAIR report said, “Not only has the number of prejudice cases increased, but the violent nature of the incident has also increased dramatically.
“From 2014 to June 2019, CAIR chapters across the country have recorded a total of 1,164 anti-Islamic hate crimes, including physical assaults and property damage, and since 2015, the number of hate crimes against the U.S. Muslim community has soared. Entrance".
The watchdog watchdog in Washington, DC, released a report documenting 80 cases of "named anti-Muslim investigations" that political candidates employed in 2017 and 2018 during the 2018 midterm elections.
In many cases documented by Muslim advocates, Republican political candidates sought to relate to “terrorism” in fear of Muslims.
Earlier this week, dinner for the infamous anti-Muslim Act! The American group, scheduled to be held at the Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort, was canceled after widespread criticism.
Scheduled as a fundraiser on November 7, the event was hosted by Best Media personality Michelle Malkin.
In 2018, the Alabama-based Watchdog, SPLC (Southern Poverty Law Center), which oversees hate groups, recorded at least 100 anti-Muslim groups working across the country.
SPLC is the ACT! In the United States as a hate group.
