Power tariff jacked up by 53 Paisa per unit

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led federal government increased 53 Paisa per unit in electricity bills. The tariff hike will come into effect from tonight (October 2) after the announcement by the Ministry of Power.

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf-led federal government increased 53 Paisa per unit in electricity bills.

The increase in the Customs Service will take effect from tonight (October 2) after the State Department has notified in this regard.

This expansion will cost consumers 53 billion rupees each year, but K-Electric's consumers will be exempt.

Lifeline consumers and consumers who consume less than 300 units per month are exempt from rising prices.

This year-long hike was approved for last year's adjustment and distribution margin.
