Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 67 runs in second ODI

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka for 67 races on the second international day of Monday night when Karachi organized its first ODI in 10 years.

Pakistan hit 305-7 in its 50 overs with Babar Azam with a brilliant 105-ball 115 and Fakhar Zaman scoring 54.

Sri Lanka received 238 in 46.5 surpasses with Usman Shinwari taking 5-51, giving Pakistan a 1-0 lead in the three-game series.

The Green Shirts had won the draw and chose to hit the visitors first.

After starting hard, Pakistan lost its first wicket on the 15th, when Imam-ul-Haq (31 of 41) was caught in the leg before the wicket by Wanindu Hasaranga.

Fakhar Zaman (54 of 65) was the next to leave, being caught by Isuru Udana in Hasaranga on the 21st.

Haris Sohail (40 of 48) became the victim of a Nuwan Pradeep bowling break in 40.

Captain Sarfaraz Ahmed was exhausted after scoring eight runs and Babar Azam, who crushed a 115 of 105 balls, was caught by Lahiru Kumara in the 46th.

Imad Wasim was caught after contributing 12 runs and Wahab Riaz (2) was eliminated at the end of the non-forward in the last ball of the innings. Pakistan thus finished its batting with 305-7 at the end of the 50 overs.

The long-awaited first ODI between the two sides was canceled due to heavy rains in the metropolis on Friday.

The second ODI, which was originally scheduled for Sunday, was rescheduled for today and the third game will be played on Wednesday.

Today's match was the first ODI played in Karachi after a huge gap of exactly 3,901 days, equivalent to 10 years, eight months and six days.

The two teams will also play three Twenty20 internationals in Lahore next month.
