‘Witch-hunt’ of politicians, businessmen will lead to ‘economical meltdown’: Faryal Talpur – Pakistan

Witch hunt of politicians businessmen will lead to economical meltdown Faryal

The leader of the PPP, Faryal Talpur, on Monday during his speech at the Sindh Assembly condemned what he called "political victimization with the attire of responsibility."

Talpur, who is the main suspect in a massive money laundering scandal, warned that if the "witch hunt" of politicians and businessmen continues, it would lead the country into an "economic crisis."

"The way people have been humiliated and harassed in the name of responsibility is regrettable," he said. "This is not the progress of a country or a nation. In fact, this is leading your country to [the cusp of an] economic collapse

"People will not want to live in this country. There will come a time when people will want to leave this country. Such is the situation that is being created."

In addressing the charges against herself, Talpur said: "We [the suspects] I have no problem with these false accusations. We will face them; we have faced them in the past. "

Talpur, a member of the Sindh Assembly, is in the custody of the National Responsibility Office (NAB), which is investigating money laundering charges against him.

Their production orders were issued by the Sindh Assembly last month, but they were not fulfilled. It was presented today at the provincial assembly after the Superior Court of Lahore ordered the administration of the Adiala prison, where she was detained, to make the necessary arrangements so that Talpur could attend the assembly sessions.

During his speech at today's assembly, he said that the current situation in occupied Kashmir was "very bad" and complained that not enough was being done for the residents of the region.

"I have to say this despite the fact that what is happening [in occupied Kashmir] It is very bad and we have not been able to extend any help, except to give long speeches. They say that actions speak louder than words, and there is no action, only words.

"We have not gone to other countries, nor have we asked for help on the issue of Kashmir. I feel that [occupied] Kashmir, there is much to do and must be done, what Pakistan is not doing. "

He expressed his condolences to the families of the soldiers who have been martyred in the restless line of control and also expressed hope that the recent extension given to the army chief, General Qamar Javed Bajwa, "will help stabilize the country."

"We hope that the extension of the army chief will be the best for Pakistan and help stabilize this country, which needs to be stabilized."

"We should all work towards a better Pakistan. We need to be united in a series of issues and stop bothering and harassing each other for accusations of corruption," he concluded.
