Decatur Bar & Pop-Up Factory set to close its doors

According to a Friday release, the resident concept Decatur Bar & Pop-Up Factory, a rotating chef by Axelrad co-owner Adam Brackman, will be permanently closed on October 31.

Brackman's decision to close a restaurant and bar located at 2310 Decatur follows the success of resident chef Evelyn Garcia and pop-up chef Victoria Elizondo.

In the fall of 2019, 7,350 square feet of indoor / outdoor space will open at 2445 Times Blvd, and two chefs will showcase the concept at Politan Row in Rice Village.

Garcia's restaurant, Kin, offers Thai food including scratch curry, rice bowls and salads.

Elizondo's Coach Nita & Co., who serves tacos on Decatur on Tuesday evening, will offer Ceviche and gradual Mexican tacos made from natural ingredients.

Garcia and Elizondo will collaborate on dinner at Decatur, which is scheduled for October 29, before departure.

The property of 2310 Decatur, partly owned by Brackman, will be leased upon release.
