
ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan has asked the opposition not to make health policy for former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.
Speaking at a press conference here on Thursday, he said some people were exploiting the situation and accusing the government of doing Nawaz Sharif's health policy.
"The government has so many achievements to present, we don't depend on any health problem to do politics, but it is they who depend on these minor issues," said Dr. Awan, adding: "I want to tell these spokesmen that if they use a hard language against the country's leadership, they should expect to get an answer in the same currency. ”
She said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had always defended the supremacy of the law for the strengthening of the judiciary and that the government would not interfere in a matter that was in court.
She said the court would decide Mr. Sharif's health problems. "The government had implemented judicial decisions in the past and will also do so in the future," he added.
Dr. Awan said the prime minister's first gesture was that Nawaz Sharif should receive the best health care facilities from a hospital of his choice and that his family should be treated in his treatment.
He expressed his best wishes for the speedy recovery of Mr. Sharif and also said that Maryam Nawaz's request to meet with his father was honored.
The special assistant denounced the statements of the PML-N leaders that Maryam Nawaz was forcibly sent to prison.
"There are laws in the country and we have to follow the prison manual, even if it is for Maryam Bibi, since her medical report states that she was healthy and normal with all the approved tests," he added.
On the treatment of Nawaz Sharif abroad, he said that if doctors suggested it and the court decided that his treatment was not possible in the country, the decision will be taken according to the established mechanism.
"These decisions are not made in the media or in the wishes of influential people as it was in the past," he said.
He previously said that five percent of the elite had captured the country's system and resources, while Pakistan's managing director, Baitul Maal Aun Abbas, informed reporters of an initiative to establish 300 women's empowerment centers that They will help eradicate poverty in the country.
