Family braces for Nawaz’s bone marrow test reports – Pakistan

LONDON: As the former prime minister and supreme leader of the Pakistan-Nawaz Muslim League (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif continues to undergo a series of tests to detect his cardiac and hematological complications, his family remained anxious for the results of a report specific doctor

"The most important thing at this time is his bone marrow test," his son Hussein Nawaz told reporters. "My request is that everyone pray for their health," he added.

Bone marrow tests can reveal if an individual's bone marrow is healthy and produces normal amounts of blood cells. Doctors use these procedures to diagnose and control diseases of the blood and bone marrow, including some types of cancer. The condition of low platelet count of Nawaz, known as thrombocytopenia, has led doctors to analyze their bone marrow sample.

Hussein added that Nawaz treatment and diagnosis are ongoing, and that doctors in the United Kingdom have a standard process that they follow before diagnosis and hospitalization.

“Personally, I think you should go to a specialized hospital in the United States to have your multiple ailments treated. I have talked to Mian sb about this several times. But it is premature for him to decide something at this time because the tests are still ongoing here in London, ”Hussein added.

Last week, Nawaz Sharif's personal doctor, Dr. Adnan Khan, said he will be hospitalized in the next few days to undergo an angiogram that will be followed by a cardiac procedure.

He added that after the angiogram, the doctor is likely to suggest a procedure for the heart and the carotid artery. However, Dr. Khan said Mr. Sharif's immune disorder should be addressed before any procedure.

Sharif arrived in London on November 19 along with his brother Shahbaz Sharif after the government and the courts granted him permission to travel abroad for medical reasons. Sharif and his family members have consulted with several doctors, including those who specialize in heart problems and immune disorders. He arrived in London three weeks after the Islamabad High Court granted him bail in the case of Al-Azizia for medical reasons.

Former president of Punjab CM and PML-N, Shahbaz Sharif, went to the High Commission of Pakistan in London earlier this week to file a request for the courts to excuse their personal appearance during the current NAB cases in their against.

“I am in London to be with my brother Nawaz Sharif while undergoing treatment. I also undergo my own health checks while I am here. On this basis, I asked the court to excuse my absence, ”Shahbaz said.

He added that his lawyer Mohammad Nawaz Chaudhry, who has been granted power of attorney, will represent him.

The National Responsibility Office is building a case against Shahbaz Sharif in an asset beyond the means of reference. In addition to the Ashiyana scheme, Shahbaz Sharif has also been charged in the Ramzan Sugar Mills case.
