MIRPUR – Monday's low-density earthquakes in Azad Jammu and Kashmir shook Mirpur and its suburbs.
However, no casualties or damages were reported anywhere in the district.
The tremor of 4: 4 PM on Monday caused panic among citizens from homes, offices and shops as a precaution. The vibration lasted for about 4 seconds.
Since September 24, earthquakes have frequently occurred in Mirpur, Azad Jammu, and Kashmir (AJK) and in the immediate vicinity, after the moderate intensity earthquake of Richter scale 5.8.
A strong earthquake of magnitude 5.8 last month caused severe disasters in Mirpur and its neighbors, killing at least 40 people and injuring more than 900 people.
The earthquake struck the entire urban area of Mirpur in addition to the rural areas of the neighboring Mirpur and Mirpur division Bhimbher.
After the earthquake, the city of Mirpur shook and no casualties or damage first appeared in Daily Pakistan Global.
