A Coast Guard official said the US Coast Guard was looking for a 26-year-old cruise passenger over 47 miles off the Galveston coast.
A coast guard official said the man boarded a Galveston-based carnival dream around 8:45 pm. Helicopters and fixed-wing planes were dispatched to search the area.
There was no other information on Thursday night.
