As Urijah Faber takes over Petr Yan, a fight against two UFC bantamweights with very different MMA careers is scheduled for UFC 245 in December.
ESPN first reported the news. "California Kid" had previously been interested in the fight against the current 135-pound champion Henry Cejudo, but the fight with Yan was never talked about, and came out somewhat blue.
Faber (35-10) defeated Ricky Simon in 46 seconds when he fought in the co-main event of UFC Sacramento in July. This fight was Faber's first fight in the cage in two and a half years, and it's clear that his return to Jan didn't last long.
Yan (13-1) fought five times in a year at UFC after signing a promotion in June 2018. Currently, the Russian championship of John Dodson and Jimmie Rivera, who have not been defeated since March 2016, has put Yan in fourth place. In UFC's bantamweight ranking
UFC 245 will be held on December 14 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. The UFC welterweight title battle between Kamaru Usman and former interim champion Colby Covington will be the headline of the card.
