It's getting harder and harder to figure out what's going on with UFC cards. In the FOX era, the PPV cards had the highest depth, followed by the cards of the larger FOX, the cards of FS1 and FS2, and the cards of the Fight Pass had the least depth. It didn't always follow that model, but it was generally consistent enough to be so accepted.
I can't say it's a product of the ESPN era, but for the last three weeks the story has been reversed. UFC 243 was the definition of supreme heaviness, providing depth for the qualifiers that even the FOX era fight pass cards were expected to be insufficient. Last week, ESPN + 's UFC Tampa card held some exciting contests in the qualifiers and offered contests that weren't on the PPV main card. This week ESPN's UFC Boston is not very deep, especially compared to UFC Tampa. But hell is better than what UFC 243 offers.
UFC Boston will start at ESPN2 at 6 pm ET and 3 pm PST. Friday.
Charles Rosa (11-3) vs. Manny Bermudes (14-1), Featherweight
The inevitable result of Bermudez was eventually raised to 145 because 135 could not be achieved in the last two contests. The question is how much he will lose as he gains weight. After Thiago Santos, Jorge Mas Vidal and Anthony Smith went up to the weight class, there were fighters who succeeded as small fighters. Including what I just mentioned. Bermudez is no longer a bigger person, so it's not difficult to force your body now.
Nevertheless, Bermudez is still as dangerous as hell with his obedience. 11 of 14 careers have been submitted. It's not just the top position. He showed a consistent ability to smooth his back and pull guillotines when his opponent left the neck. This type of submarine can be a bit harder to deal with bigger opponents, but it's silly to think that it's not creative enough to find a way to sn sn your neck. Bermudez is still doing a lot of work for his standup, but the tools can work with the most notable forces.
Rosa is one of those who overwhelms the opposition on his daily and physical strength. Rosa is not afraid to stand and knock with others, but he is not a great player and has terrible defense. Nevertheless, he is his own skilled grapple, aggressive enough to attack the submarine as Bermudes. However, 30 months have passed since Rosa was last injured in the neck and entered the cage. Dominick Cruz claims this is not a problem, but is Rosa affected by ring rust?
Rosa has won three FOTN bonuses in five UFC competitions as a consistent action fighter. But i say Was because of this. There is no way to know if he is still the same until he enters the cage. I want him to believe, but in that case I would expect it in favor of Bermudes. He doesn't cut an extra 10 pounds, so he should have more energy, and Rosa's recklessness should make it easier for Bermudez to find the opening and exploit it. Bermudez via RD2 Submission
- Mostly UFC Diana Belvita To her development too early to roaster, no one to whom she is upset Molly McCann In her UFC debut. Belbita is a Romanian national kickboxing champion who loves to stand and fight fist fights. She has more variety of attacks than McCann, but McCann deserves credit for organically incorporating a large amount of low kicks beyond boxing. Did you mention that she started implementing takedowns? Belbita showed more grasping power than McCann, but he also opposed to significantly worsening the competition. Most fights must be made on the feet, so there must be a lot of fun. McCann's experience should allow her to emerge with W. McCann through Decision Making
- It is hard to forget Shawn WoodsonI've been flying KO at DWCS last season. In fact, it does a fantastic job of erasing the rest of the fight from the memory of those who have apparently lost up to that point. That doesn't mean that Woodson is a terrible fighter, but the giant featherweight may have spent more time in the local scene. Good hell, it has become a major topic… Nevertheless, he debuts here in Boston. Kyle Bochnick. Bochniak has evolved into a hellish and clever fighter, but it also has physical limitations. In this case, he is about 7 inches shorter and the reach is 9 inches shorter. Seeing what Bochniak does for others who have long reached from Zabit Magomedsharipov, Bochniak is struggling with production, but thin. Woodson through the decision
- As I said, I'm going to spend more time on the theme about the fighters Randy Costa Return to the octagon for his second year effort. A bantamweight product from Joe Lauzon's school, he is like a mentor who raids, swings with his fist and finds the finish. For the first time in his career-all five contests-did not work in his UFC debut. Will he change things at all? Probably given Boston Salmon Completed in just 25 seconds from his UFC debut. Salmon is a good athlete who hits harder than hell, but if you only hit one blow at a time at that speed, the result is a big problem for him. If the fight will lead to a decision – Costa will win in huge amounts. The most likely scenario is that the salmon knocks Costa after exhausting himself without underestimating his opponent this time. Salmon through TKO on RD2
- One of the best nice people in sports Coat mcgee Appear at the end of the line. The former TUF winner was still in a difficult situation, but he rarely finished his takedown anymore, and he never knocked out a huge amount of punches. But the most prominent sign is a lack of durability. Santiago Ponzinibbio is still the only fighter to finish him, but he has shaken a lot at this stage of his career. He welcomes a new man Shawn Brady To UFC. Brady is a versatile fighter, but smaller than the welterweight. Of course, other 5 & 9 '' 9-inch people have the same success as Alex Garcia, but Brady lacks the bulk and / or wrestling lineage that others have. Choosing a fighter is not comfortable. I'm worried about Brady's finishing ability, and knowing that McGee will be as hard as he always will, I will win one more with McGee. McGee through Decision
- Going back forever nasty Kevin Holland Short notice for Eric Spicely. In most cases it is difficult to know how. Holland, one of the most eccentric figures on the list, does not stop talking within us, regardless of himself or the other party. Given his personality, it's no surprise that he is also struggling most of the time and is very creative. Fortunately, his athleticism and toughness do not pay for dangerous strategies more often. The biggest advantage of the Netherlands is the 81-inch reach, but I still have not completely figured out how to use it. His little debut Brendan AllenIt is a product of Roufusport. While his camp is famous for his outstanding ability, Allen's wrestling and fighting were his most reliable field. You will have a hard time navigating the reach of the Netherlands. - Heavyweight players who rely on volume rarely succeed at the highest level, but are newcomers. Tanner boss Will go it. Canadians are intelligent fighters who don't exactly present impressive figures but know what they can and can't do. He mixes his volume well and does a definite job of staying straight when the opposition rather drags him to the mat. He was a big challenge in six minutes and seven seconds. ” Daniel Spitz, Caveman with amazing catching skills. Spitz has a lot of power – see KO of his Anthony Hamilton. If Boser can escape Spitz's power, he should leave his UFC debut with his hand raised. Bosser through decision
