TAXILA: The Hassanabdal Municipal Administration has marked a renovation and beautification plan for the areas around Gurdwara Punja Sahib.
This was stated by assistant commissioner Adnan Anjum Raja while talking to reporters on Wednesday.
Raja said the renovation project will be completed before November 15 when Sikh pilgrims from around the world will visit the city to celebrate the 550th anniversary of the birth of Baba Guru Nanak.
He said that under this project, the road in front of the Sikh temple would be extended beyond the establishment of a park and the redesign of the pool.
He said green belts would be added to the front and back of the Sikh temple under the embellishment plan.
He said a master plan would also be implemented to improve and renovate the drainage and sewage system of the historic city so that wastewater cannot be mixed with water from several springs.
He said a new water system would also be established for the entry and exit of clean water to the Sikh temple.
I hoped that these steps would not only facilitate pilgrims, but also promote the soft image of the country.
