
DERA ISMAIL KHAN: The head of his own Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam (JUI-F) faction, Maulana Fazlur Rehman, said Sunday that his party's decision on the "million marches" towards Islamabad was irreversible, and said that "we also don't want to reach an agreement with the government nor do we want to give it space."
Speaking at a press conference after the JUI-F district executive council meeting here on Sunday, he said they do not accept the "illegitimate" Imran Khan government that had been imposed on the masses as a result of "manipulated" elections. "The establishment is responsible for the illegitimate government," he said, but added that his party did not want any confrontation with state institutions.
Commenting on the Prime Minister's speech on the Kashmir problem at the UN General Assembly, the head of the JUI-F said that emotional speeches alone were not enough for a fair solution to the Kashmir problem and that it was It is necessary to take practical measures to convince the world about the seriousness of Pakistan's position.
"What message does the prime minister want to convey to the world when he threatened to start a nuclear war with India and admitted during an interview that ISI and Pakistan's army had trained al Qaeda activists," he said.
Fazl discards any agreement with the government
The meeting was attended by the district chief of the JUI-F and the parliamentary leader of the party in the Assembly of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maulana Lutfur Rehman, Noor Asghar Wazir and other party leaders.
Maulana Fazl condemned the murder of the member of the central executive committee of the JUI-F Maulana Mohammad Hanif in Chaman. "This murder shows that the claim of the security agencies to eliminate the threat of terrorism is incorrect," he said, adding that the masses in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan had been left at the mercy of the terrorists, while the institutions responsible for providing security People acted as public.
Commenting on the process of accountability in progress in the country, the head of the JUI-F said that the authorities in charge of the issues were using the National Office of Accountability as a weapon only against opposition parties.
The JUI-F central executive committee will meet in Islamabad soon to chart a strategy for the next march.
