LGI Homes, a national homebuilder targeting first-time buyers, will open a new community for 793 homes in South Houston.
The grand opening of the El Tesoro area takes place on 5 October. The initial phase consists of 217 lots near the new Ross Shaw Sterling Aviation High School. Homes with 1,300 to 2,400 square feet start at $ 170,000.

Brian Batten, chairman of Houston's business unit at LGI Homes, said, "LGI allows us to own new and spacious homes that are less than the average rent in the area."
Located southwest of Airport Boulevard and Mykawa Road, the community will add a children's playground, shade structures, picnic spots and trails in 2020. Nearby recreation can be found at El Franco Lee Park, Beverly Hills Park and Houston Sports Park.
