X factor! UFC Fight Night 161 Major Card Predictions

This Saturday (October 11, 2019), the UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) travels to Tampa, Florida, for the UFC Fight Night 161. Weekend cards are weird cards despite the funniest main and co-main events. Under the "Prelims" undercard (here and here preview), James Vick vs. Niko Price and Deiveson Figueiredo vs. There are amazing fights like Tim Elliott, and the ESPN + stream main card fights between two light weights I didn't know. . Let's analyze the main card fight all the same!

Note: Later in the week, Jesse Holland will preview and predict the biggest fight of the night.

Lightweight: Mike Davis vs. Thomas G. Ford

Best win for Davis? Carlos Guera To Gif Ford? Trey Ogden
Current march: The two men recently lost their UFC debut
X-argument: Can Davis do a short notice?
How do these two match? Who vs who?

Davis is a "Contender Series" product, a versatile expert from Sodiq Yuseff and Gilbert Burns that only appeared at fairly high levels of enemies. Like he replaced, Davis is from Florida and helps explain why he was placed so high on the card. He will be the "young lion" in his UFC debut opposite Roosevelt Roberts. Gifford achieved all 14 wins, including 12 tap-out wins.

In his debut, Gifford fell into the classic Brazilian jiu-jitsu fighter trap, fighting back for too long. Gifford hunted triangles and guillotines, but spent much time under Roberts, punching and controlling his face.

Davis is versatile enough to work in the best position and is also a striker. Therefore, it is difficult not to see history repeated. There is concern about Davis's fasting gas tanks, but fighting at the top is a good way to save energy.

Prediction: Davis through Decisions

Woman straw: Mackenzie Dern vs. Amanda Lee Bath

Best win Dern? Ashley Yoder To Riva? Emily Whitmere
Current march: Dern had two consecutive wins (7 total) in Octagon and Ribas succeeded in their Octagon debut
X-argument: What does Dern do after a recent birth?
How do these two match? We are likely to have a pretty fun game.

Dern is the most decorated Brazilian Jiu-jitsu player from ADCC and Mundials gold medalist MMA (Mixed Mixed Mart) today. She was still new to MMA and as a result was not always able to implement great fighting skills. Luckily, my right hand was heavy and helped with the transition. Ribas, meanwhile, may not have qualified for Dern, but Brazil did not get his opponent in the UFC debut.

I don't believe in Dern's weight loss technique or general devotion to sports, but I've been able to win so far. She got in shape this time, but you have to wait until the scale is checked.

Both women use jiu-jitsu as their primary skill, but Dern is far more accomplished and dangerous in that area. Ribas is a bit more versatile than Dern, but it will be hard to avoid mat exchange. At some point, Dern is likely to face true adversity if he continues to commit half, but this doesn't look like a bout that happens.

Prediction: Dern Through Decisions

Lightweight: Luis Pena vs. Matt Prebola

Best win Pena? Matt Wieman For Frevola? Cut Turner
Current march: Two consecutive UFC wins per person
X-argument: Frevola knockout power
How do these two match? This should be scrap

Pena of the American Kickboxing Academy was debilitated early, but in the last couple fights, he still has the prospect of being worth it. Southpaw is a sly kickboxer who throws a lot and is hit with a fair amount of power.

Frevola, meanwhile, was hit harder than his solo knockout victory meant. Frevola is a competent wrestler who generally prefers to swing for knockouts.

Pena is not a perfect fighter. He was previously dragged into a slow kickboxing game, sometimes placed behind his back and included there. But Trizano fought wisely and triumphed with a small margin to defeat him. Frevola may have the power and wrestling to go to Pena, but he's likely to fall into many counter punches in the process.

Frevola had early success but liked Pena to take over the second half.

Prediction: Pena by Decision

Middleweight: Eric Anderson vs. Gerald Meyers Heart

Best win Anders? Rafael Natal For Mer Charte? Tre Vin Gilles
Current march: Both middleweights win the last fight
X-argument: The subtlety of Meerschaert
How do these two match? Only Middleweight can give us a fight that can give us terrible or exciting results.

Eryk Anders is an unpredictable fighter. He is a great athlete with great body tools and a heavy left hand, but he has not started martial arts training until late in life. As a result, “Ya Boy” sometimes struggles to pull the trigger and often seems to be able to do more.

Meerschaert is also embarrassed sometimes. He is an amazing grapple. I haven't accidentally received 21 lottery winning scores, but I'm repeatedly trying to get into a terrible position to chase submissions. His kickboxing is a mixed bag because he has a brutal body kick and a decent fundamental but still has less hitting.

Meerschaert has all the changes that persuade Anders to tackle him and set up a successful trap of “Ya Boi”. At the same time, Anders understands well how to fight the opponent who is trying to subdue him, and brutally punishes bad takedown attempts. Anders won four victories within the octagon, all four against a Jiu-jitsu based fighter.

Three of these victories were knockouts.

Prediction: Anders through knockout
