Welcome to Midnight Mania!

We start tonight by looking back at the three biggest stories from Tuesday, February 24, 2026.

  1. UFC Houston’s Sean Strickland isn’t impressed with new bonus, Paramount pay increase: ‘No one deserves to be paid more’: Strickland is surprisingly one of the most vocal athletes campaigning for better pay, or at least publicly acknowledging the problem.
  2. Merab time! Former UFC champion signs with RAF to debut in Philadelphia on April 18: Merab Dvalishvili is the perfect fighter to compete for RAF, but hopefully he won’t fall in line with some of the elite 22-year-olds on the world stage.
  3. UFC superstar reacts (badly) to Zuffa Boxing’s outrageous $15 million Conor Benn single-fight deal – ‘I’ve never heard of that guy’: It’s curious that a popular UFC star could eventually do his thing like Jake Paul. Is there anyone else big enough besides McGregor?

Graphic Video: We’ve seen fighters copy Max Holloway’s signature point with terrible results, but this is the first time we’ve seen Justin Gaethje’s backflip backfire so fatally.

I’m sure it’s UFC could do I buy the whole competitive jiu-jitsu scene, but the problem remains. why? BJJ isn’t very fun to watch, and I’ve been fighting for 16 years!

Don’t take anything a dedicated professional wrestler says with a grain of salt. But Josh Barnett has quite the explanation for Antonio Inoki’s takedown of Lyoto Machida!

The most Australian video of the week!

Hi Vicente Luque, I really enjoyed your rise to welterweight. Does anyone believe that a move to middleweight will revitalize his career?

Did Oscar De La Hoya paint his abs? Is this some kind of tool? Those hands still look sharp, but you can’t see anything else.

Slip, lip, KO clip

Good fight to look back on it! Both of them have come a long way.

Edgar Chairez is an underrated flyweight who has only lost to really good opponents.

Both men stand with their chins held high, but one falls immediately.
