Two years later and Toys R Us has miraculously resurrected from the ashes, reports IGN. Its first new store will open in New Jersey with a second location in Houston, Texas, later this week. There are also plans to open another eight stores throughout 2020. The assumption is that the deployment depends on the success of the two stores that open this holiday season.
If you visit one of the new Toys R Us stores, you may not find what you might expect. Returning to the main street with shops full of toys like in the old days would not be smart. Instead, stores will have a select range of specific products and will include open spaces in the store so customers can use them and interact with them before buying them.
Toys R Us is back, but not exactly as we knew it. This time, his goals are to overcome what led to bankruptcy first, online shopping. The objective of this second opportunity is to give customers something that the Internet simply cannot, an opportunity to interact with a product before taking it home.
