Speaking about the coronavirus situation in the country, Mirza said that almost half of Pakistan's cases were transmitted locally. It revealed that some 17,332 people were present in quarantine centers across the country, of which 18 percent tested positive.
SAPM said the death rate for the new coronavirus in Pakistan had risen to 1.7 pc after the deaths on Saturday, while the overall death rate for the virus was 6.1pc.
Mirza expressed his disappointment at the "misuse" of the N-95 masks and said that "those who do not wear them completely (N-95 masks) also use them."
He said the National Command and Control Center (NCOC) was preparing an awareness video that would be released soon, but urged people not to spread misinformation on the basis of "incomplete information."
