Hampshire Coast Outskirts
Guide price, £ 750,000Horse Sand Fort in Solent between Southsea and Isle of Wight is probably a man-made island. One of the three forts built between 1865 and 1880 to stop the French invasion, the auction begins on November 1. The two sister fortresses nearby went through millions of pounds to the hotel, but they were the same as they were considered surplus for MoD requirements in the 1960s. The cost of construction is known to be 425,000 pounds and was originally located on the fourth floor with a courtyard and wells.
