Beijing: Hunan University of Oriental Medicine (HUCM) decided to establish “Atta-ur-Rahman One Belt and One Road TCM Research Center” on the main campus located in Changsha, the capital of Hunan province, China.
According to an official statement released on Saturday, the opening ceremony of the proposed center will be held in conjunction with the annual Bio-TCM International Conference at HUCM on October 24.

"The center is a humble perception of his leadership in developing scientific cooperation between the two countries, with Professor Ata Raman, who has been recognized for his tremendous scientific contribution in the field of traditional medicine," said Professor Hunan University of Oriental Medicine.
"It is also a celebration of judo in the highest honor of friendship of the Chinese Academy of Sciences," Wang noted.
HUCM is one of the largest public sector universities in China and is internationally recognized for its excellence and research quality.
The university also has many international students, including 500 Pakistani scholars.
Professor Atta-ur-Rahman holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cambridge (1968).
He has 771 research papers, 45 international patents, 70 chapters, and 1232 publications in several organic chemistry fields published by 341 major US and European media.
