LAHORE – The Lahore High Court (LHC) formed a larger bench on Thursday as a petition for appointing Judge Javed Iqbal as Chairman of the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Thursday.

Dogar relocated the local high court in March of this year, was instructed to cancel the appointment of NAB chairman, and called for the reversal of all actions taken by the responsible director during his surveillance.
The lawyer was appointed by the NAB director in violation of the law and the constitution, and asked the court to withdraw the convicted sentence after the former Secretary of State Nawaz Sharif made a reference to himself.
Regarding the issue of Sharif's release, Judge Kasim Khan dismissed the petition, stating that the former highest bail request was already pending before the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
However, he recommended the appointment of the NAB chairman to the LHC Supreme Judiciary to form a larger bench to hear the case.
The current NAB representative was appointed bad news for the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz in 2017.
