8 scholarship schemes for studying MALTA for international students

The Maltese government offers a variety of scholarship schemes to students and professionals who are citizens and / or permanent residents of Malta and other countries. Of the many scholarship schemes established by the Maltese government, there are currently seven active schemes.

Effort Scholarship System

The Endeavor Scholarships Scheme was established to support high-quality higher education and to ensure that appropriate individuals are provided to the Maltese labor market and are in a better position to compete at the international level. The system aims to assist those pursuing this route to effectively contribute not only at the level of education but also to the economy.

Effort scholarships can be studied at MQF level 7 up to 3 years / 36 months. The value of the scholarship is determined by the number of ECTS achieved. For an MQF Level 7 learning program registered in Malta, the scholarship is € 58 per ECTS if qualified by an accredited institution registered in Malta. For MQF Level 7 study programs conducted in accredited foreign institutions (except Malta) and other countries that qualify in joint research programs, the scholarship is € 100 per ECTS. The Endeavor Scholarships Scheme may consider extending academic completion.

Higher Education Scholarship System (TESS)

The Higher Education Scholarship Scheme is intended to support quality higher education at MQF Level 7 and MQF Level 8 and seek contributions to the appropriately skilled individuals and the Maltese labor market. TESS can be used to follow MQF Level 7 learning or MQF Level 8 learning programs that take more than 3 years / 36 months or more.

Awards can be awarded by a local or internationally recognized institution for a particular study or research program. Only institutions approved by the NCFHE will be considered by the Higher Education Scholarships Scheme.

Scholarships vary depending on the MQF Level 7 Part Time / Distance Learning and Full Time modes and the MQF Level 8 Part Time / Distance Learning and Full Time modes.

Malta Art Scholarship

The Maltese Arts Scholarship Scheme aims to provide more opportunities to support individuals with exceptional talent in the creation and / or promotion of expressive arts professionals. Theater, music, dance, design, creation, film, visual art, or a combination of these, must be prioritized. This scholarship is available to students who have already enrolled in learning programs at MQF Level 5 or MQF Level 6 or MQF Level 7 or MQF Level 8, but the study end date is 2020 or later. In this case, applicants will receive funding for the remainder of the period, beginning with the date of ranking announcement. Study programs bring qualifications and can necessarily lead to undergraduate diplomas, first grade, joint degrees or graduate qualifications.

The value of this scholarship varies:

  • Training program (full time, 24 months): Up to 5,000 euros tuition will be charged for the entire program.
  • Programs that do not complete MQF Level 5/1 (Full-time and Part-time / Distance Learning, 24 months): Up to € 5,000 tuition for the entire program and maintenance grants only for the 400 Euro full time mode per month.
  • MQF Level 6 / Bachelor (full-time and part-time / distance study, 48 months): Only 400 euros additional time mode per month with tuition of up to 20,000 euros and full maintenance subsidy for the entire program.
  • MQF Level 7 / Master (full time, 24 months, part time / distance learning, 36 months): We only allow an additional 400 euros per month for full tuition and maintenance costs of up to € 10,000 for the entire program.

Malta Financial Sector Scholarship System

Malta Sports Scholarship System

Post-Doc High Reach Grants

Through this plan, Malta aims to strengthen research outcomes through investment in postdoctoral research programs to increase the supply of human capital that can effectively contribute to R & D investment. PhD European Malta Scholarship, University of Fiesole, Firenze

The Maltese Ministry of Education and Employment is supporting scholarships for doctoral programs conducted by the Maltese people for full-time study by the Maltese people at the European University Institute in Fiesole, Florence.

EUI offers a systematic doctoral program with approximately 150 scholarships annually. This scholarship includes tuition and monthly grants. Scholarships are obtained from each country of prospective candidates. Scholarship applicants are selected by the EUI based on the thesis proposal and the nature of the study.

University of Malta by Research and PhD Program Scholarship

The University of Malta (L-Universitá ta & # 39; Malta) seeks to attract excellent students from countries outside the European Union / EEA who can receive a master's degree from the university through research and doctoral programs. Eligible students will receive a tuition waiver of up to 100%. Benchmarking costs for certain programs may still apply. Fee waivers apply for the normal duration of the program. If your study needs to be extended, you may not be eligible for a tuition waiver.

Only full-time applicants who have unconditionally passed the Master through a research or PhD program can apply. Professional PhD and MBA type programs are not eligible for this scholarship.
