FM Qureshi rubbishes Indian army chief’s threatening statement

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan's Foreign Minister Shah Mehmud Kureshi issued a statement on the threat of an attack by Pakistan's Chief of Staff on Thursday, saying he is ready to defend the Pakistan border and respond to the invasion.

Indian troops often rely on unprovoked shootings of civilians on the control line (LoC), while Pakistani military has always shown responsibility and on the other side did not aim at civilians, talking to the media in Manju Rabad.

The Pakistani military even said it did not harm LoC's private property.
Kuresi said the Pakistani Tehrikein Saf (PTI) government has internationalized the Jammu and Kashmir issues, which was adopted by the UN Security Council in 54 years.

In contrast to the regimes of the past, the PTI government raised the issue of Kashmir in effective ways around the world,

The minister emphasized a significant human rights violation and atrocities committed by Indian occupation forces in a valley held at the Geneva Human Rights Commission meeting two days ago.

About 58 countries supported Pakistan's position and urged India to refrain from violating human rights of Jammu Kashmir (J & K), occupied by India.

Qureshi accused India of misleading the international community and referring to Jammu and Kashmir as internal issues.

He said Jammu and Kashmir are areas of conflict. India imposed curfew and prevented them from performing religious ceremonies such as the Mu Haram procession, Eidul Azha, and Friday prayers. The youth added that they were being tortured by the Indian military.

The Foreign Minister told Prime Minister Im Mir Khan in a speech to the United Nations General Assembly on September 27 that he will effectively present the case of Kasmisris and expose India's evil design.

He thanked the local and international media for emphasizing the Kashmir issue, particularly the violation of human rights in Jammu and Kashmir. Kashmiri and Pakistan added that they are raising their voices about human rights violations by Indian troops in valleys occupied by virtually every world capital.

Kuresi said Friday at a large-scale public meeting in Muzaffarabad that the world observed the passion of the Azad Kashmir.

He said that RSS ideology dominated the Modi government, which worked for the Hindu superiority by nationally washing Muslims in the occupied Kashmir.
He added that the Indian government wants to convert the majority of Muslims into minorities.

Qureshi, when asked about Maulana Fazlur Rehman's march, said that Maulana should better think of Kashmiris's pain instead of doing personal politics.

The Prime Minister and the government added that they are emphasizing the gravity of Kashmir's problems around the world. Qureshi also held groundbreaking ceremonies of 100 million rupees in five union councils.
