Oslo: Norwegian police arrested an armed man who stole an ambulance in Oslo on Tuesday and crashed, slightly hurting four pedestrians, including twin babies.
His motives were not immediately known, but Oslo police said on Twitter that "there is no information indicating that this is related to terrorism."
“What is the purpose? What is your motivation? We can't answer this at the early stage of the investigation, ”said Oslo chief police officer Grete Lien Metlid at a press conference.
Police also confirmed that they had arrested a woman who was accused of a male suspect accused of murder.
Before this incident, this pair, who had a criminal record, was involved in another accident where the vehicle was overturned.
When the emergency services arrived at the scene, the man stole the ambulance and the woman ran away.
"According to testimony and observation, the suspect deliberately attacked the victim randomly by reporting," said Johan Frederick Sen, vice president of the Oslo Police Department.

This incident occurred in a residential area north of Oslo. Students at nearby schools and day care centers were ordered to stay indoors for several hours.
During the run, the man beat the woman with a stroller, which gave birth to two seven-month-old twins, and the elderly couple had to leave.
The woman and the baby had to be taken to the hospital, but escaped without serious injuries.
Oslo University Hospital said in a Twitter post, "Fortunately, the twins are minorly injured."
The man also fired a gun behind the wheel of an ambulance to policemen dispatched to save him.
After the ambulance crashed into the building, the police arrested a 32-year-old Norwegian man, already known to the police.
Officers also detained a 25-year-old Norwegian woman who appeared to be "affected" at the time of the first accident.
The investigator said the ambulance found two guns, one shotgun and a Uzi submachine gun in the stolen scene and suspected drugs.
Police confirmed that local media are investigating reports of suspect links with remote organizations.
The nature of the pair's relationship is unknown.
In an attempt to stop the driver, police fired several times, causing the ambulance to crash into the door outside the residential building.
The television image shows that the Mercedes ambulance, which appears as multiple bullet holes in the front left door, is badly damaged.
A large number of police officers, some of them armed, deployed on-site and helicopters hovered overhead for a while.
Norway experienced several terrorist attacks by right-wing extremists, including the death of 77 people in Anders Behring Breivik's twin attacks in July 2011.
But there was no attack by Norwegian extremist Islamic extremists.
