
Pakistani cinemas are increasingly appreciated internationally, and for the first time two Pakistani filmmakers walk home, winning the prestigious Busan Film Festival award.
Hamza Bangash won the feature film “Mariam” from the Asian Film Academy and Film Society. This award gives Bangash the opportunity to cast a movie to an American-based producer in Los Angeles during a five-day Immersion Program trip.

Zindagi Tamasha of Sarmad Khoosat wins big at Pusan International Film Festival
Directed and co-produced by Khoosat and his sister Kanwal Khoosat, the film Punjabi was produced by Nirmal Bano. The film stars Arif Hassan, Samiya Mumtaz, Ali Kureishi, and Eman Suleman. Khoosat also has a special look.
