Texas Workforce Commission upgrades state jobs site

The Texas Workforce Commission has restarted its job site to include new features designed to improve talent and job matching.

The upgraded site WorkinTexas.com started in September. The upgrade includes a resume scorer for applicants to upload their resume online, and a virtual bot that matches the job they are interested in with the resume scorer who evaluates the candidate's resume.

Employers can post jobs for free on the site, set up virtual recruiters and access the local talent pool in their area. The site's digital ranking tools and jobs will help connect employers and potential employees.

"It's hard for anyone to find time to find a job," said Julian Alvarez, a TWC member representing labor. "New features in WorkInTexas.com allow you to search and apply for jobs more efficiently."
