
Two daughters of a worker were kidnapped and allegedly raped in groups by a group of men in Kabirwala Tehsil of Punjab, police said on Friday.
According to a First Information Report (FIR) of the incident, the two sisters were sleeping in their room when five men entered their home in the Koraibaloch area and kidnapped them at gunpoint at 2 a.m. on October 10 .
The suspects took the two women, who were around 20 years old, to a mango orchard and subjected them to group rape, according to their brother, in whose complaint the FIR was registered.
The family then sought the help of a panchayat (village council) to seek the release of their daughters by men who suspected they had kidnapped the women.
Later on Thursday, the five suspects dropped the two women near their home. The sisters were naked when they were released, her brother said. DawnNewsTV.
After the father of the victims reported the incident at the Kabirwala Saddar police station, the Khanewal district police officer, Umar Saeed Malik, formed teams to capture the suspects.
A medical examination at the Kabirwala Hospital in Tehsil headquarters (THQ) confirmed that the two women had been raped, DPO Malik said.
He said a prime suspect in the case was arrested and raids are being carried out in several places to catch the other four men. The arrested suspect confessed his crimes, the DPO said.
A case has been registered against the suspects, two of whom remain unidentified, according to Sections 365-B (kidnapping, abduction or induction of a woman for marriage) and 376 (violation) of the Pakistan Criminal Code.
Punjab Prime Minister Usman Buzdar realized the incident and requested a report from the Khanewal OPD.
