ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan and Secretary of State Army Chief of Staff Qamar Javed Bajwa will visit China from October 8-9, 2019 to meet with Chinese leaders, including President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang.
According to a Foreign Ministry statement released Monday, a number of contracts / MoUs are expected to be signed at events that the two prime ministers will witness.
President Xi Jinping and Prime Minister Li Keqiang said they would hold a separate banquet to honor Khan.
Prime Minister Lim Lan Khan, along with senior delegations including Foreign Minister, Railway Minister, Planning, Development and Reform Minister, Commerce Minister, Petroleum Minister, Investment Committee (BOI)) Chairman and Senior Official.
As mentioned, the Army Chief of Staff said he would attend a prime minister's meeting with Prime Minister Li Keqiang and President Xi Jinping.
The Prime Minister's visit continued the long tradition of bilateral leadership, held regular meetings and closely consulted on bilateral, regional and international concerns.
The Prime Minister added that from August 5th, he will exchange views on regional development, including the peace and security status of South Asia, arising under the occupation of Jammu and Kashmir.
This visit will help strengthen the economic, investment and strategic ties between Pakistan and China.
Above all, the Prime Minister will evaluate China's leadership in the government's latest landmark decision to speed up the implementation of the ongoing CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor).
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, there will be interactions with senior representatives from China's business and enterprise sectors to deepen bilateral trade, commerce and investment partnerships.
The Prime Minister will also attend the closing ceremony of Beijing International Horticultural Expo, which will be hosted by Chinese Prime Minister Ly Keqiang.
