OIST Research Internship Program Information
The OIST Research Internship Program is a scholarship offered by OIST Graduate School. This initiative is carried out by providing educational and research opportunities for undergraduate and graduate placements that are considered research interns. This internship, which can last from 2-6 months, gives selected candidates the opportunity to experience in a lab setting and learn specific skills to enhance their potential within the scientific and technological spectrum.
Selected candidates are appointed as research interns in the entire program. Under the direction of OIST's accredited professors, interns are expected to do their best and contribute to the institution's research activities. Program value
Successful completion of the OIST Research Internship Program provides you with the following benefits:
- Living allowances, transportation and on-campus or nearby accommodation. Students are paid a weekend fee of 2,400 yen every day for the entire training period of OIST (excluding weekends).
- 1 nonstop round trip ticket for successful candidates. Go to the internship site in Okinawa at your home university. The scheduled travel date must be close to the internship date. All travel logistics are prepared by OIST graduate staff.
- Other types of assistance, including accommodation, visa preparation, insurance procedures and local registration. However, OIST is a private scholarship that does not support dependents or families of selected candidates.

Future applicants who wish to enroll in the OIST Research Internship Program must obtain a bachelor's or master's degree (or equivalent qualification for both programs) prior to the date of admission. In addition, in addition to maintaining an impressive academic record, candidates are expected to show their potential as researchers who receive great recognition from fellow academic referees or experts.
Requirements

- Recommendations for academic or research professionals who are familiar with or engaged in work. Instead of the candidate asking for a letter, the candidate must provide e-mail contact details and the application system will ask for the letter instead. Note: Before submitting the details, the system must reconfirm your email address before submitting it as a web form to the person who requested the application. As soon as OIST receives the recommendation, the applicant will be notified immediately.
- ID. Candidates must upload a recent photo showing their face from the front. Photo format must be standard passport orientation. The uploaded file format must be in JPG format and the memory size is less than 5MB.

How to apply
