US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said Tuesday that Congressional Democrats wanted to "treat unintentionally, bully, and unfairly" five former and former officials calling for a deposit to provide Ukraine.
Pompeo told the House Foreign Affairs Committee that the date the government officials voluntarily appeared as part of an impeachment investigation against President Donald Trump was "not valid."
Pompeo told panel chairman D-NY Republican Elliott Engel: “I'm concerned about the request. "I will not tolerate such tactics and will do my best to prevent and expose attempts to threaten dedicated professionals."
summons
In a separate subpoena last week as part of the investigation, the three House of Representatives chairman made it clear that collateral for his investigation would interfere with parliamentary investigation.
The panel is looking for documents in the State Department and seeking voluntary testimony of current and former officials.
Engel and other chairmen, Adam Schiff of the Intelligence Committee, Elijah Cummings of the Supervisory Commission
Their correspondence sought testimony from former State Department officials for the next two weeks, including former Ukrainian ambassador, Marie "Masha" Yonovanovitch and former envoy Kurt Volker.
Pompeo's pushback came after Trump's private lawyer Rudy Giuliani proposed not to comply with the summons issued by the three commissions on Monday.
They want to write a document relating to President Trump's efforts to pressure former New York Mayor to provide dust to Trump's potential 2020 election rival, Democratic Party Joe Widen, on behalf of President Trump.
Juliani claimed that the House of Intelligence, Foreign Affairs, and Supervisory Commission "prospected" the case.
compliance
It is not clear whether Pompeo will comply with the commission's request for documents by Friday.
Pompeo, who travels to Italy to meet with the Italian prime minister, ignored the shouting question about the impeachment investigation.
The House Democrats launched an impeachment investigation on slander against whistleblowers who asked for help in investigating Democratic rival Baiden and his son Hunter after revealing a phone call in July with the President of Ukraine.
Trump sought Australian help for Russian exploration
Meanwhile, Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison acknowledged Tuesday that Trump agreed to help Trump after asking the Australian president not to approve a blurred Russian investigation.
An Australian government spokesman asked Trump to ask Morrison to investigate the issues raised in Robert Mueller's investigation. Russia concluded that it tried to turn the election in Republican favor in 2016.
Australian officials said Australia is "ready to support and cooperate in efforts to uncover more on the matter under investigation."
"PM was once again confirmed in this dialogue with the president"
The book of Revelation will raise suspicion that Trump uses the power of the Oval Office and endangers long-term relationships with his allies for his political purposes.
