
A bomb attack struck a bus carrying police in Adana province in southern Turkey on Wednesday morning, and some people were injured, security sources said.

Sources said ambulances took the injured to hospitals in the area. The armed police closed the area and was examining the scene. It was not clear who could be behind the attack.
Mahmut Demirtas, the provincial governor of Adana, said a police officer and four bystanders were slightly injured by a bomb that pointed to a bus carrying police personnel.
"As of now, two main prosecutor of the terror bureau have been assigned and they are also at the scene of the crime at this time," said Demirtas.
"According to initial reports, we are considering the possibility of a terrorist attack."
Demirtas said that an improvised explosive device or a different type of bomb could have been used in the attack in the central district of Yuregir.
