Former UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) welterweight Mike Matesa — better known as “.blood diamond” — scored a stunning knockout in the main event of Stealth Fighters League 4 at the Manuka Doctor Arena in Auckland last weekend (Saturday 14 March 2026).

As Andrade attempted a flying knee, “Blood Diamond” timed it perfectly and slammed the Brazilian in the air with a powerful left hook that sent him crashing to the canvas. The referee immediately intervened to stop the match.

Mathetha — longtime friend and training partner Israel Adesanya — Joined the UFC in 2022 after an exciting kickboxing career. However, his performance in the octagon did not go as planned.

‘Blood Diamond’ lost 0-3 in the promotion match, losing for the second time in a row. Jeremiah Wells before dropping a straight decision in his debut (see highlights). Orion Kosce and Charles Ratkeultimately led to his release.

The 37-year-old returned to the local scene after leaving the UFC and struggled at first, losing several fights, but finally snapped a five-fight losing streak with a first-round knockout late last year. Said Karsaz.

With Saturday’s brilliant finish, the Zimbabwean-born striker is now on a two-game winning streak and has reminded fans why he was once considered an exciting prospect.
