Bykea and Taxi Booking Are Moving to Islamabad Police App

The registration process for Bykea and taxi drivers in the federal capital will be shifted from the local administration system to the Islamabad Police Taxi Verification App. According to the district administration, the change follows a joint effort between the district authorities and Islamabad Police to streamline and ensure registration process for drivers operating in the city.

The new system will allow drivers and passengers to upload their data directly through the taxi authentication app. Once registration is complete, drivers must display a QR code on the screen so passengers can immediately verify their identity and credentials. Authorities emphasized that drivers must properly record each ride and trip information.

The Taxi Certification app can be downloaded through the Google Play Store, allowing drivers to register and comply with the new system. The administration said the plan would enhance passenger safety by providing real-time verification of drivers before and during each trip.

The Islamabad office’s deputy director said the measures aim to make travel in the city completely safe. According to the district administration, citizens have been warned not to use unregistered bikes or taxis under any circumstances, reinforcing the need to comply with the updated registration procedures.
