
Palestinian officials said Israeli forces killed two Palestinians near Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
The Israeli military claimed that the two men attempted to clash and open fire on its soldiers.
The Israeli military said in a statement that the two men “attempted to carry out clashes and shooting attacks against IDF soldiers.”
“Soldiers responded with gunfire,” the statement added.
The Palestinian Health Ministry said two men, aged 24 and 25, were killed in Israeli gunfire.
The incident occurred near Nablus in the occupied West Bank.
Following the attack, there was a significant military build-up in the region. Israeli forces closed the Zatara intersection to all traffic, and reinforcements from Magen David Adom and ambulances were deployed to the scene.
