NEW DELHI: Apple recently launched its iOS 10 operating system for all users with compatible iPhone and iPad devices. And despite facing some initial problems, iOS 10It has been recorded that the early adoption rate of iOS 9 is higher than that of iOS 9 in the same time period.
As recorded by the Mixpanel website, iOS 10 reached 14.45% of eligible devices in the first 24 hours of its launch. By comparison, iOS 9 was on 12.60% of eligible devices within 24 hours of its release for all users.
It’s too early to guess when iOS 10 will be on about 50% of all eligible devices. According to the website, iOS 8 reached a 50% adoption rate in one month, while iOS 9 reached the same point in 12 days. We believe that the adoption rate of iOS 10 would have been even faster if it had not encountered installation-related bugs early in the release.

For those who don’t know, iOS 10 was reported to have caused iPhones and iPads to freeze after updating them to the latest operating system, just hours after its public release. Several users took to Twitter and Facebook to vent their anger, as downloading the update led them to factory reset their devices, erasing all data saved on the devices. It was reported that during the installation process, the phone displayed an error asking users to connect the device to the PC and use iTunes. Upon connecting, another error appeared saying: “There is a problem with the iPhone ‘iPhone’ that requires you to update or restore.”
However, Apple quickly addressed the issue. “The issue was resolved quickly and we apologize to those customers. Anyone who was affected should connect to iTunes to complete the update or contact AppleCare for assistance,” he told Recode’s website.
