The Punjab government has approved recruitment for 171 vacancies of Junior Computer Operator (Class 12) in Punjab Prisons Department to strengthen IT services in the department.
Sources said the approval was given after the Punjab Home Department submitted a summary to the state government.
Recruitment will be conducted through Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) and PPSC will soon issue an official advertisement for the post.
Officials said candidates will be selected through a written test and other recruitment stages. Applicants submit their applications online through the PPSC website.
The authority added that the recruitment process will be transparent and strictly merit-based, with the aim of improving digital and IT services within the prison.
