Georgio Poullas found out the hard way last night (Saturday 28 February 2026). RAF 06 In Tempe, Ari., you’ll most certainly know this once you’re around.
The former college wrestler competed in the co-main event against UFC lightweight contender Arman Tsarukyan. There wasn’t much background between the two, but that didn’t stop Poullas and Tsarukyan from having a bit of an off-kilter exchange at a press conference this week. When real action began, Tsarukyan took the best care of business, but that did not prevent Poullas from going bankrupt.
Throughout the match, it appeared that Poullas was pushing Tsarukyan and hitting him on the head when the two men got close. (Tsarukyan’s corner kick was even. Complaining about Poulas throwing punches.). Considering Tsarukyan is one of the best mixed martial artists in the world today, this was a bold game plan for Poullas. Constant prodding is probably Tsarukyan’s reason. This picture was taken after the game was over. He then ambushed Fullas with a takedown and hit him on the jaw. Chaos broke out and both teams brawled for 30 seconds.

After the dust settled and the entire party was off the mat, Poulas was seen sitting in an ambulance backstage wearing a neck brace. It’s unknown if Poullas was seriously injured during the attack, but it’s certainly not a good look for Team Tsarukyan. Poullas had a few choice words for Tsarukyan and his crew.
“Unfortunately, I jumped, but you were surprised when my 62-year-old father and two brothers came to rescue me,” Poullas said (see video player above). “That’s how we were raised – to fight for each other no matter what. We were outnumbered by a dozen Armenians and they ran and fought with me.”
“To Arman, you’re a little son of a bitch, and I’m the only one who got a takedown. I’m still the champion.”
A familiar Tsarukyan sucker punch pan and fighterI didn’t have much regret after the incident. The UFC’s top contender had a simple message for Pulas and anyone else who might try to poke the bear.
