The United States on Friday designated Iran a “state sponsor of illegal detention” and demanded the release of all Americans in its custody. Secretary of State Marco Rubio made the designation as tensions between the two countries rise and President Trump considers an attack on Iran. Prime Minister Rubio mentioned Iran’s strengthening of power.
