After releasing the limited edition Huntsman keyboard, Razer’s latest announcement brings a new twist to the everyday accessory. The Razer Laptop Sleeve 16 offers a clever way to cut down on cords and clutter with a new protective cover that also functions as a Qi wireless charging mat to charge your smartphone, earbuds and other devices.
What makes these sleeves different?

Unlike regular laptop cases that are simply built to protect your laptop, the Razer Laptop Sleeve 16 integrates a Qi wireless charging surface mat right into the front panel. This means that if you place a compatible device, such as an iPhone, earbud case, or other Qi-enabled accessory on the front, it will be able to charge as long as the sleeve is connected via the USB-C port.
Razer provides up to 15W of wireless charging output in this sleeve designed to carry large 16-inch laptops. We use premium materials for added durability with a microfiber lining and reinforced edges. Adding a cable pass-through to keep the sleeve connected turns the accessory into essentially a docked workspace in the bag.

A premium applies to wireless charging.
The standout feature here is the Qi wireless pad built into the outer surface of the sleeve. This makes an accessory you would normally carry around your laptop into something you can use every day to charge your phone or earphones. However, there are some practical limitations. The charging speed of 15W is decent, and the lack of magnets for alignment means charging isn’t always efficient. And ultimately, the sleeve itself requires a power connection, which limits its use on the go.
The regular Razer Laptop Sleeve 16 costs $79.99, while the version with a wireless charging mat costs $129.99. It’s a more useful smart accessory, but its price and modest output make it not a must-buy for most users.
