Leica Leitzphone, supported by Xiaomi, has been officially confirmed for global markets. Earlier this month, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra Leica Edition was certified for sale outside China under the Leica Leitzphone name, with subsequent leaks reinforcing the rebranding.
Now Xiaomi’s official Spanish X account has shared a teaser confirming the identity of the device and its launch plans.
Launch event details
The Leica Rights Phone will be unveiled at the global launch event of Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra. This event will be held in Barcelona, Spain on February 28th at 2pm local time.
The Inspirado is a collaborative effort with cameras from Leica, while the Leica Leitzphone takes inspiration from Xiaomi for its photography moves.

What should you expect?
The Chinese version of the handset has already been released, giving us a preview of its hardware and features. The global model is expected to have nearly similar specifications.
However, the report suggests some minor design tweaks for international markets. The two-tone dark color option available in China can be swapped for an all-black rear panel. Additionally, both Leica logos are rumored to be rotated 90 degrees compared to the Chinese version.
More details will be revealed at the official launch event in Barcelona.
