Ilia Topuria embraces sparring with Jake Paul and vows to break his jaw.

‘El Gallo’ vs. mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter battle continues…

UFC (Ultimate Fighting Championship) lightweight champion, Ilya Topuriais still awaiting his next official fight date (not at the UFC White House) after personal issues delayed his return during the start of the promotion’s new Paramount+ era. But while the champion waits, he seems to have found someone else to fight alongside. A YouTuber-turned-boxer, Jake Paul.

Appear on popular streamers adin ross‘ On the live stream, Topuria was asked about Paul…

“He’s a very bad boxer,” Topuria said, acknowledging that Paul has done a great job marketing and building his brand.

Things escalated quickly when Ross called Paul live, giving the two a chance to trade barbs directly.

“Hello, I admire you. I think you’re amazing.” said Paul. “If you think I’m a bad boxer, I think we should spar.”

“Yeah, whenever you want,” Topuria shot back. “I can do that. Is your jaw okay already?”

The jab was a reference to Paul’s broken jaw, which he suffered from the fight. Anthony Joshua (See highlights) That’s where the conversation began.

Paul has claimed that several UFC fighters have agreed to spar with him in the past but have either backed out or been blocked by the promotion. Paddy Pimblett As one example. According to Paul, Pimblett reportedly turned down an offer of $1 million and private jet accommodations.

But Topuria was not impressed.

He sarcastically said, “As a YouTuber and streamer, you are the best boxer.” “But compared to an actual boxer? You’ll never make that list. As a boxer, you suck.”

“What would you say if I beat your ass in sparring?” Paul shot back.

Topuria responded, “We’ll do that once my jaw heals.” “Just get ready. You’ll need some more recovery time.”

Paul then took a turn toward attacking MMA fighters in general, pointing out his boxing wins over former UFC rivals and mocking Topuria’s height.

Paul said, “You won’t touch me. All MMA fighters are trash.” “You’re a short guy, you’re 5’6.”

Topuria admitted he was short, but promised to humble “El Gallo”.

“I’m going to put you high on my balls,” he warned. “You’ll be on your fucking knees.”

He also made it clear that a “real fight” under MMA rules would be a completely different scenario, which Paul surprisingly said he would accept.

Right now we’re just talking. But with these two, that’s usually how it starts.
