For KAS international scholarship programMaster’s students receive a scholarship of up to €992 per month for two years, and PhD students receive a scholarship of up to €1,400 per month for three years. Scholars may also apply for other allowances, including health insurance subsidies, family and child allowances, and research travel grants. Participants will become part of an international network with current and former academics from around the world.
During the German scholarship period, participants can participate in a variety of workshops and seminars, and can also organize their own seminars and sessions. Additionally, scholarship recipients receive personal support and guidance from the support team throughout their studies and career planning. Applications are open to socially responsible individuals from Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Ethiopia who have excellent academic records and are fluent in German. Germany KAS Scholarship Program Eligibility Criteria:
- Applicants must be from Kenya, Uganda, South Sudan, Tanzania or Ethiopia.
- Applicants must demonstrate German language proficiency at at least B2 level via a Goethe-Institut certificate.
- Master applicants must enroll in an MA program for four semesters at a German university.
- Bachelor’s applicants must complete a bachelor’s program of at least two semesters at a German university.
