The clash between India and Pakistan has been confirmed with the ICC releasing the Women’s T20 World Cup schedule.

The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan clash has been confirmed after the International Cricket Council released the full schedule of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 on Tuesday, setting the stage for another blockbuster clash between the two rivals.

The 10th edition of the tournament will be held in the UK from 12 June to 5 July and will feature 12 teams, making it the largest event in the event’s history. Hosts England will face Sri Lanka in the opening match on June 12, while the final will be played at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 5.

India and Pakistan were drawn in Group A along with Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh and the Netherlands. Their meeting in the group stage is sure to attract worldwide attention given the history and intensity of the rivalry. Matches between the two sides at ICC events in recent years have attracted record crowds, highlighting the growth of the women’s game.

Group B includes England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Ireland and Scotland. Ireland and Scotland will kick off their campaign against each other in an all-European clash at Old Trafford on June 13. When England face Scotland at Headingley on June 20, it will be the first time the two teams have met at an ICC event on British soil.

ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 Groups:

Group 1: Australia, South Africa, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Netherlands

Group 2: West Indies, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Ireland, Scotland

Bangladesh, Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands were the final four teams to secure qualification through the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup qualifiers held in Nepal last month. They will now join defending champions New Zealand, first-time champions England, 2016 champions West Indies, six-time champions Australia and current ODI world champions India in a fiercely contested tournament.

ICC Chief Executive Officer Sanjog Gupta described the release of the schedule as a key milestone in preparations for the global event.

“The release of the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup schedule is an important milestone in our preparations for the premier global sporting event,” Gupta said.

“This event is a continuation of the ICC’s ongoing investment in women’s cricket across increased participation, high-performance pathways, event and production standards, tournament prize money, expanded media distribution and commercial partnerships, all towards the goal of securing higher levels of interest, belonging and status for fans around the world,” he said.

“The ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup in India has multiplied the power of the sport to break records, capture imaginations and inspire communities. Our goal is to bring that momentum into the tournament in June and July,” said Gupta.
