Rangasthalam (The Drama Stage) is a 2018 Indian Telugu action drama film, written and directed by Sukumar. Original story of the Rangasthalam movie
Chitibbu is some deaf, annoying jeweler in a village called Rangasthalam. He uses a motor owned by his friend Kolli Rangamma to fill his irrigated fields with water to earn a living, he is called Atta and is helped by another village called Mahesh. Chitibabu lives with his parents and sister, and his brother Kumar Babu got a job in the Gulf. Chitimbu initially fell in love with Ramalakshmi, a deaf-mute farmer.
Rangasthalam's local government agency is headed by Phanindra Bhupathi, chairman of the panchayat. Kumar Babu, who returned to Rangasthalam, was disappointed with the event. Kumar Babu and Chittibababu receive support from villagers over time, and some of them nominate candidates for ward membership. But Rangamma warned Chittibabu that many people, including her husband, were found dead in mysterious situations when they opposed Bhupathi. Chitibbu knows that Bhupathi killed all of them and realizes the danger of Kumar Babu. He is bribed at a boo party and forces villagers to withdraw his nomination. But after Kumar threatens to give his life to Babu, Chittibu changes his mind and returns the money to the wealthy party.

Kumar Babu, who went to meet his girlfriend Padma in Rajahmundry, was attacked by a group outside Rangasthalam. Chittibabu initially manages to save Kumar Babu from death, but is later strangled. While filming Nanaku Prematho, Sukumar met Ram Charan via friend Ranga and was approved for the script. Charan played the role of Chittibabu, a “partly deaf and innocent person” used to express all emotions through a chaotic personality. He made it look like a beard in the film and acted out the character to make it look real. Charan struggled to master the pronunciation used in the Godavari region and to keep pace with the villagers. In January 2017, a screening test was conducted at Anupama Parameswaran, where Samantha Akkineni later finalized, but she was chosen as a female representative.
