Report: NYSAC, Corey Anderson, Kelvin Gastelum for UFC 244 antic

Kelvin Gastelum was fined for controversial behavior during the official weigh-in of UFC 244 last weekend in New York City, according to a report from Newsday last weekend.

Gastelum, who lost a co-main event bout with Darren Till through a split decision, turned out to lean against his chief coach, Rafael Cordeiro, while he was weighing to make the original 186 pounds successful (see again). The former welterweight fighter eventually leaned to 184 pounds, and battle fans wondered why they had to take off their clothes to make weight in the first place.

The New York State Athletic Commission (NYSAC) has promised to be able to compete in UFC 244 while pursuing “disciplinary action” against Gastellum, and appears to have completed the investigation.

NYSAC's investigation shows that Gastelum will be fined $ 1,000 in weighing UFC 244. Cordeiro, on the other hand, has to pay $ 200 to support Gastelum on a large scale.

In addition to Gastelum, NYSAC fined Corey Anderson, a light heavyweight contender who defeated the rapidly rising star Johnny Walker through the first round TKO (highlight) during the UFC 244 “Prelims”. After his victory, Anderson began to provoke. Walker screamed as the referee helped him kick back.

“Overtime” eventually apologized for the post-battle celebration, but NYSAC still considered it “unrelated to sportsman” and thought he would have to pay Anderson a $ 10,000 fine.

Is this fair punishment? Should Gastelum be fined more than Anderson?

Let me know, maniac!
