Vintage Electric announced a limited edition high-performance e-bike before its release on November 15, 2019. Ford v ferrari. The film repeats every effort to build a Ford racing car to take over Ferrari, where Carroll Shelby won the 24-hour Le Mans 24-hour championship in France in 1966. The Vintage Electric Shelby is a 36 mph e-bike with paint. , Finish and design details were closely formed after Auto Builder's personal 289 Cobra.
Andrew Davidge, founder and chief designer of Vintage Electric, consulted Aaron Shelby, the grandson of automotive legend, as he developed the limited edition. Inspired by the 289 Cobra, the Vintage Electric Shelby matches the blue metallic N6 paint with a matte black racing stripe, the Shelby logo and the Cobra badge.
Additional design details for the tribute e-bike include handles and saddles, exact color matching and a feel inside the Cobra.
Like Shelby Cobras, Vintage Electric builds e-bikes for speed and high performance. Therefore, the limited edition Shelby model can only be based on the fastest models and the latest technology of the electric bicycle company.
Vintage Electric Shelby is a throttle-controlled e-bike powered by the company's most powerful performance platform. Five power modes allow you to pedal and use the throttle (we know your favorite mode – see below).
Vintage rated the 48V 23.4 Ah, 1,123 watt-hour rechargeable battery in the 40-75 mile range in street mode. It takes 4.5 hours for the battery to fully charge. The 3,000-watt direct drive hub motor provides everything you need and more than what is legally available on US public roads.
But the cobra is not designed to drive at speed limit. Owners of the Vintage Electric Shelby may forget that there is a street mode with a 20 mph power off function to avoid riding or displaying bikes. Special keys included in Cobra's battery pack allow owners to switch to race mode with a maximum speed rated at 36 mph.
American e-bikes are currently limited to 28 mph with a combination of power pedal support and throttle control. Therefore, Vintage Electric advises Shelby owners to stick to private roads when participating in race mode. It will be so.
Vintage Electric Shelby Cobra is based on Vintage Electric's Roadster Speed Merchant. The 86-pound bike has a hydroforming aluminum frame and a front fork suspension with 60mm travel. Promax Lucid hydraulic disc brakes with regenerative braking restore some power and have enough stopping power.
The two-wheeled cobra has stainless steel spokes on a 26-inch rim. The rim uses Schwalbe Fat Frank 26 x 2.35 tires to have the front and back of the inner and anti-visible inner tubes. The bike also has a 5.75 inch diameter LED headlight, LED taillight and alloy rear fender.
Vintage Electric produces only 300 Shelby editions. With the $ 149 race mode option added, the Cobra is $ 7,249 or $ 7,398. If Carroll Shelby spends a lot of money on racing car-inspired e-bikes and gives up the race mode option, you might think that Carol Shell Rain is still alive.
The Vintage Electric Shelby is priced at $ 254 higher than the $ 6,995 Roadster Speed Merchant ($ 7,144 for Race Mode). But the cool elements of riding an e-bike with cobra bagging and the value of starting a conversation will cost extra for those who can afford this bike.
I like the idea for the Shelby e-bike concept, but I want to keep it aboard so I have a solution if it's torn. You can buy two Shelby. Or you can save $ 250 and buy the Vintage Shelby Limited Edition and Roadster Speed Merchant. Keep the Shelby Limited Edition and spoil the roadster on every private road you want to show and travel. Of course, if you follow the latter path, you'll need a t-shirt that says, "My other e-bike is Shelby!"
